4Beat Rocket: Making Rocket Accessible
The Rocket has become an intimidating practice for many, and we want to end that. Join us to dive into the sequence, move to a beat, break down poses and transitions for your unique body, and learn about the psychology of moving to music, all through the lens of returning to creator Larry Schultz’s original intention: “everybody gets to do what they wanna do”.
For teachers, and Rocket and 4Beat enthusiasts.

Rocket Science
“Everybody gets to do what they wanna do”
[You can now take this training as Rocket-only or Anatomy-only as well as both together!]
Larry Schultz, the creator of The Rocket, put his sequences together to be playful, dynamic and accessible, something that has, on occasion, been slightly lost in translation!
In our Rocket Science course we dive into the sequences of Rocket, breaking down the funkier moves, and we look at all of the various inversions, but we also look at Larry’s philosophy, and just why the idea of everyone getting to do what they want to do - functionally and anatomically - is so important.
Mornings are spent in full Rocket practice, philosophy, and sequencing, and the afternoons are with anatomist, osteopath and Iyengar teacher Christian di Giorgio, helping you to understand how bodies differ, and how everyone can find the juice in the pose, even if they may need to approach it slightly differently. Perfect for anyone wanting to recap and deepen their anatomical awareness.
In this 50 hours we will look at the Rocket 2 sequence. The anatomy will focus on the spine, and back arches.
Rocket Science trainings can be taken separately or together, and in any order. You can also choose to attend just the Rocket sections, or just the anatomy, if you prefer, for a reduced price.
The Restorative One: Yin, Qigong & Meditation
This course focusses on restorative aspects of the practice, particularly on nervous system regulation, fascia and meditation. Although much of the course is based around yin and meditation, it also includes an introduction to qigong and ideas on sequencing flow to restore classes.
We will cover a variety of yin poses (and effective props for each), different approaches to the practice, and different body requirements within them . We will then touch on Wuji and a handful of qigong forms, and how these might be incorporated into a flow to restore format.
No previous yin or qigong experience is required, but is helpful.

Brush Up Your Anatomy
Ideal for teachers wanting to dive deeper (or recap) their functional anatomy for teaching.
Join Christian di Giorgio, anatomist, osteopath and Iyengar teacher for 5 afternoons of anatomical exploration, looking at body variation, joints, bones, and muscles. Each afternoon will include an anatomy lecture and a practical application by moving through various poses and exploring the theoretical learning.
This course is the afternoon section of our Rocket Science course (if you would like to join the whole day, including the Rocket training in the mornings, check out the full Rocket Science training).
